About 25 years ago, I saw some kids broken down on the side of the road, so I stopped to see if I could help. I took the four of them home, we called the local garage, and I drove them over to pick up the parts. They wanted to pay me for my time, but I told them that they should look for ways to help others - pass it along.
About 4 years later, I broke down, on the same stretch of road, and a young couple stopped to help. I recognized the two from the four students from years before. They told me they had never forgotten what I had done for them.
I always thought that a little kindness could go a long way -
"Pay it Forward", and perhaps we could grow a better world.
Sadly, the world has changed so much that it's often a danger to try and help people.

Paying it Forward, or something simular to that, is actually the name of a very good old movie; and it's exactly about makeing the world a better place. It's also a spiitual principal I was taught long before that;, can't claim I do it enough though.
