In the last pic I have one hen that is that greyish color (we call her Dirty Girl), so maybe you're right.
The Light Brahama X Buckeye chicks are all Brahma patterened (white w black markings).
Next crossing I will put:
1. one roo from BCMxCX over 6 BxBE hens
2. one roo from BCMxCX over 6 BCMxCX hens
3. one roo from BxBE over 6 BCMxCX hens
and we'll see where we go from there. 9 lbs at 13 weeks is heavier than I wanted. But the shape, feathering, activity, and foraging/feed consumption are great. Also they are super sweet and manageable.
I didn't keep track of eggs incubated vs hatch but I would say at minimum I got 90% hatch. I got rid of the BCM roo as the girls started going downhill. But put their last eggs in the bator anyway; surprise, Mr mellow Brahma they were in with after BCM was gone had had his way with them
so I have 2-4 BxCX chicks to play with as well.
