Awhile ago I posted a few pic's of the progress of my special meat bird project from this past springs hatching, so I thought I would post some of them as of last week and their growth and conformation progress.

This is the very nice White Rock Rooster I am using as part of my seed stock, he is from winning show stock and is absolutely huge, standing almost 2' tall
You can also see he has breast girth as well.
Here is one of my Cornish X breeder hen's after a molt the wide bodied middle one, she is fit and looking fine and still producing fertile eggs.
facing away is one of my only 3 pure standard white cornish hens hatched this past spring, she is filling out nicely along the back with the much desired heart shaped back beginning to come out. and may be at POL this early spring.
this pen is full of pure white rock/cornish X crosses, which will be bred back in various way's to cornish X's and WR's this coming spring.
They have progressed very nicely in size and structure.
A very nice Buckeye Rooster that I am starting to work into my program, he is a second yr Roo that has what it takes.
Here he is in with a standard white Cornish hen, let's see what comes out of this pairing before she goes into the hulk's pen for spring hatching season.
Some of my breeder pen's with various pairings.
and of course Ya'll would publicly flog me should I fail to show you your favorite Cornish Roo ( the Hulk ) still kickin and woooing the ladies.
Ok so there you have the lastest update on this past years progress, this winter the lights will be on early and hatching will commence for the upcoming years chicks. wish me luck I'll need it LOL.
