LOL I need more............... I am in the process of working on some breeder barrel single bird complex. I have some 30 big 55 gal barrels I plan to use to raise and evaluate the most worthy, stretched out and stacked 3 high in a special larger preditor proof lean-to. when thing slow down a bit I will get on that, plus I need a few more grow out and chick pen's, also in the works.

LOL Katy these lil Ole buggars ain't even worthy to grace your estate, next year we will have someting to talk about.

Just to give you an idea of the level of frustration we Cornish folks go through, I just candled again on day 18 before setting into the hatcher.
2 clear, 13 fertile but not developing or quit, and 6 looking good. maybe 2-3 out of those 6 will make it out and in another 8mo none of those may not even make it to the breeder pens.

Plus Al's a WINNER................................... I used to wear my hair and beard like my avatar, even smoked a corncob pipe many years ago, and still wear the bibs, but my son drew that hat on me to cover the big L on my forhead.

Hi Al,

Is this what you have in mind:

see post # 1264.

Joe : Yes that is exactly the basic concept, I plan to have the first bottom row about 3' off the ground so I can make some small 4'X4' little pen's under the barrels. Then I plan to make a semi enclosed Lean-to around the barrels that is also fenced, ventilation is the key for me so I can keep them in there year round. My barrels are black which contrary to what you might think they are cooler, there will also be cage facing on the back's of the barrels.

Steve : Those are some left over Crosses from my meat bird program, I had forgotten those egg's were in that batch.

AL
