Red mite infestation!!! How to treat coop in subzero temps?

I know how you feel we had an infestation last winter and it got to the point where we bathed all of them in our heated shop with flee and tick shampoo then put fontline on them then 7 dust burned all the bedding in the coop got de and lime after spraying permithin in every spot in the coop then put the de and lime in fresh bedding and then put the girls back in this is the only thing that worked for us best of luck

What the heck did you do that for? After bathing with flea and tick shampoo, you used Frontline, and then Sevin on the birds? That is overkill. DE and lime in the bedding/litter after already spraying the coop with Permethrin? You'll have birds with burnt feet and respiratory problems if you keep that up.

it is the only thin that got rid of them also I talked to a chicken vet and said that I could use all of them together safely

Thanks to everyone who responded here. I am fighting with mites and worms at the same time. I would be lost without those of you who share your experience with the rest of us. I'm new to raising chickens and don't know what I would do without these forums.
