One of our hens started laying on the coops floor in the morning. We see her every morning getting up while it is still pitch black and she cant see her way to her box so she lays on the floor. I ve been using 3x 4w xmas red light bulbs with a light sensor and she started laying in her box again. Is the light bad for them if we leave it on all night? any thaughts?

I don't believe the soft glow of the low watt red lights will bother them. I set my timer t have the light come on at 4 am. So they get more sleep without a light though. But I have left a 40 watt red light on all night for injured birds. Hopefully soon she'll get her clock working better!
