red or gray fox?

we have a fox that hangs out on our property.i have seen it close to the chicken coops at night but they are very secure and i am not worried about him getting to them.we have agood size farm and i threw some old eggs out far away from the chickens to see if i could catch a pic .of it.just wanted to know if it was a gray or red fox.

Looks nothing like the gray fox on my property. It looks like a red to me.

Red--they have a white tip on the tail, whereas a gray has a black tip.

Red too big to be a gray. This is a gray--note the dark gray back.

ETA Same fox but you can see the black back better.

I've taken pictures with the same camera of my cats in the same position, this guy is about as big as my 10-lb 13-year old male cat.

classic red. Grey don't have the dark legs like the red fox.
