Something's happening with my notifications, too, and I'm missing updates on threads, too...Why have I stopped getting notifications for this thread?![]()
I used to get alerts on threads I watched so I would see, when I came on, what threads to check. That changed a number of weeks ago. Now I have to go to my watched threads first, and the more I interact with them, the more alerts I get (to that particular thread). Which makes no sense to me! If I am actively ON a thread, why do I need an alert that someone just replied to it? I can SEE that they did!Something's happening with my notifications, too, and I'm missing updates on threads, too...

Alerts are certainly annoying when there's a thread I've posted to only once, to give advice, and then I'm done with, but it keeps alerting me over and over whenever somebody else posts... It does feel like the logic has changed though, somehow. It used to drop threads where my involvement was one-and-done, and only alert me to threads I interact more with. Now I get alerts to threads I no longer follow, or miss development on threads I do post to more frequently. Seems like others are noticing a change, too. I guess I'll start deliberately checking the watched threads page as well. I was just lazy and waiting for the alerts to do it for meI just use the 'watched threads' page, have it saved as a favorite on my browser.
Refreshing it brings the threads with new posts up to the top.
It's the main navigation tool I use here.
Alerts are a PITA, IMO...and email notifications even worse.
Aww I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it. Sometimes I wonder if it’s too wordy and if anybody bothers reading all that. But it makes for a nice story to go back and read and remember the adventures of my chicks’ childhoodThey are aweskme! I'm glad they are three different colors so we can tell them apart. I'm enjoying this journal!
