Red pyle EE roo or Red Sex link X EE roo

Yes I'm actually quite jealous, chances are he's really taking a page out of the yokohama book with that tail of his. I'd be very tempted to offer you gobs of money for him if I lived near you :p. I'm really quite enchanted by this mix.
I am very enchanted by him aswell Pele. Im in New Mexico the land of enchantment lol. Ive maid at least 6 post about him trying to find his true blood. I love that he is starting to look more like a yoko. And his all white beard is impressive. Are his combs correct for both breeds.

what is the hen in front of him in that last pic? he seems leggy lol makes me wonder if hes got some sort of game in him with those long legs as well...

Now that you point it out, I can really see it too, Hdowden. Maybe some Red Pyle modern game in the hens?

And regarding the comb, Steen, yes his should be pea from both the breeds. That's what he appears to have.

i wonder if there the roos sisters and they might all be a tri mix. His legs aswell as the hens have always been really long and slim. Dont hacherys use red pyle modern game in there ameraucana breeding programs. i thought i read that aswell as bb red Modern Game . or is that false. I kinda thought thats where the neck color was introduced into my EEs.

i would think that if they were related they all would have beards...they all are very pretty and i would hatch a few eggs to see what hatches

i had planned on it. I want to breed the roo with those two girls, some of my EE's aswell as one that i thought was a bb red that i now think is a golden phoenix.

im really curious as to what i will get. they are all long legged and gamey. I wonder if this mutt roo will have good genes as far as the mutt pullets i will get from him, i hope they will all be good laying hens.

do you know what hatchery these came from?
I do lol. i was just looking threw there Chickens. http://www.privetthatchery.com/Home/Default.aspx im in New Mexico and this hatchery is only a few hrs away so since its such a short travel time almost all the feed stores use them. I have had ducks geese chickens come from them on multiple diffrent orders and i have never had any problems with the babies dieing or anything of the sort. So i trust there health but i think they may have some mixing in there pens.

Whats funny is they dont have yokohama on there list of available birds.

also i just read this (http://www.mypetchicken.com/chicken-breeds/Yokohama-B111.aspx) because the hatchery does sell phoenix and not yokohamas now I'm confused. could it be white Phoenix mixed with a red Pyle EE X. seeing as how the hatchery sells all 3 of those. or maybe they are working on breeding there Yokohama and even though there not on the sales list yet maybe they threw him in on a hatchery choice as a special lil surprise. which is how i think i got my Phoenix hen.

I have an EE rooster that I was told is "golden pyle" and that it derives from golden duckwing with dominant white:

Now, I'm no genetics expert but your boy seems to have similar coloration to mine (with an entirely different body shape). I think it's safe to say that he has some longtail genes and he got that beard someplace else. The coloring doesn't necessarily mean that he has a red pyle parent, though.

Hmmmmm. This is my fist year and my oldest including this rooster is only 3 months old. there are only a few that have started to fill out there bodys to where they are starting to look more like yours. I thought it was normal to gain full size and then fill out all the meat areas as they mature. And if his tail feathers stay the same length with coloration similiar and developing more and more like yours Its just those darn yellow legs that make me think hes crossed somewhere else.

He has always been the biggest and the lanky. Im only assuming but i bet yours is full grown and mature. I Would bet money that mine will turn out pretty much just like yours. Right now the tails are pretty much the same with yours just holding his better. If they stay the same into maturity should we still think it has some other long tail breed in it becaues of the leg color. .
