Red Pyle OEGB Genetics? Don't breed true?

Okay thanks, it must be the chicken calculator Im using then. Because I couldnt understand why it was saying 25% would end up as BBR when red pyle and red pyle were crossed.
I would agree with Moonshiner, although the Calculator defaults Red Pyle to having one copy of dom white, which pure Pyles would not.

You lost me here. Translation?
In some breeds what they're calling red pyle is the splash version of blue breasted red or blue partridge etc.
So regardless of the pattern its on the blue breeds like any other blue, black, splash.
I believe that's probably what the other poster is talking about when he says inbreeding blues together they turn into pyles.
It has nothing to do with inbreeding or turning into pyle from being true blue or what ever.
Its just breeding blues together that happen to be on a BBR type pattern.
That make better sense?

Yup!
That is what I had thought the other poster was talking about when I read it, as I know that Red Pyle such as in OEGB does not stem from blue.

Ya they're dominate white in leghorns also.
That was the first pattern I made when I first got leghorns and of course all I had at the time was whites and browns so I was pretty limited.

Guess that calculator being off with that answers OPs question in a different thread about if it was always right.

I know this is an old thread but maybe someone will jump in! I’m not sure about all the genetics on the red piles but so curious what I might get with a few that I’ve got! So, I’ve got 2 OEGB ROOS.. apparently one copy white (?) as they both have some black in their tail feathers and very faint black spitting on their chests. I’ve also got 3 red chested OEGB’s with some very faint black spotting as well and a solid white one. Both the white hen and one of the red chested ones are currently setting on eggs by the roos and I am so curious what I am going to get! Anyone?? Attached are photos of both roos, white hen and one of the red chested hens. Thank you!!
