Red sex link lifespan.

Hi Everyone

We have had our Red sex links for 3 years now and tonight one died. All seem fine. Eating,active , good feathers. Should I be concerned or is this just how it is. Feeling a bit sad because of the history behind having the chickens in the first place

no, it is not a short life span for a chicken. In my experience with hatchery birds and predators, it is a pretty good one.
