Red sex links - Free hens just received. Losing feathers

You are very welcome. Lots of great people here willing to help.

Best wishes for your new gals to heal well.

The one you separated...... Is she where she can still see her flock mates?

It is a good idea to keep them together even if one is in a wire cage or crate. That way she is still part of the group and will be easier to reintegrate.

Yes she is in a cage that is directly beside theres and can interact with them but not actually get to them. She is a very aggressive hen and i need to work with her for a while before even trying to re integrate. Will take some work with them. Want to wait until they are better and feathers are back before trying to re integrate. We will just have to see how it goes.

Thanks again everyone!

If you find that this hen continues to molest the others, I recommend pinless peepers. They are cheap, easy to install with snap-ring pliers, don't hurt the hen, and they help solve picking problems most of the time. I have two chronic pickers wearing them in my flock. They are working out very well.
