Red skin on processed rooster

We're processing a rooster tonight and his skin is very red. He's wasn't missing feathers and it isn't really hot this weekend. Is this OK? We don't want to eat him if there's something wrong with him. He's just over a year old.

This is how my live rooster looks. He is red in the same areas.

That’s what I’m guessing with mine too.
