red spots on my 5 weeks brahma's poop

thank you guys for the answers it really helps. im keeping an eyes for those chicks i will keep you posting for the devolopment.

Abraham And Sarah Says hi.
Medicated feed will not help at this point. And yes, you can medicate them with Corid even without an official diagnosis; it will not hurt unaffected birds. Once you get more into this, you will see that most chicken people have Corid on hand and will administer at the slightest sign of cocci. Make sure you mix it into their water (3/4 tsp per one gallon for 5 days) and do not offer any other water or treats while medicating.

It can, but should be started right at hatch.

It should be, but is not in every case.

I still think this is internal shedding... I have seen blood in chick droppings before.
It is worth OP keeping a sharp eye out, but no point in panicking if it is not a definite issue, right?

Definitely. I was just reiterating that sometimes people do go ahead and treat just to be on the safe side... that it won’t hurt them.

I agree this looks like intestinal shedding and not coccidiosis, but it does not hurt to treat with Corid if you are worried about it. I wouldn't treat in this case unless I saw other signs of illness (lethargy, paleness, more splattered looking bloody poops) but if you'd sleep better after treating them, it won't do any harm to do so.
