So this afternoon I noticed one of my 7 week old Cornish Cross meat chickens appeared to have injured it's leg so I decided to butcher it. I've noticed the chickens jump on each other's backs (more than usual) when I put feeder/waterer in coop and have noticed a few less feathers on this flock. After plucking I noticed red spots on the back of the chicken. The rest of the chicken appeared normal. Is this from the jumping? Is this something to be worried about? What is it? I'll attempt to attach a picture... Thanks in advance!

I would eat if all you saw were those spots. Might be from the other jumping on him...might just be blood below the surface of the skin from the feather removal when you processed him. If it just looks skin deep so to speak, I'd say Bon Apetit! :)
