Red star, whiting true blue or amercuana????

Not Red Star (wrong comb, wrong cheeks.)

Whiting True Blue vs. Ameraucana: both should have pea combs, both can have puffy cheeks, both can come in multiple colors, both are supposed to lay blue and/or green eggs.

McMurray says the Ameraucanas should have green legs, and the Whiting True Blue should have "variable" leg color. You chick appears to have pale legs, so I think it's more likely to be a Whiting True Blue. But I don't think there's any way to absolutely sure which of those two breeds it is.

I know someone who got four Whiting True Blues this summer, and three had muff/beard, so apparently it's not consistent. How many did you get? (I'm getting curious how many of them have what kind of face.)
Hi, thanks!!!! I ordered several batches at different times with different breeds this last batch included many varieties. I have one" true blue" and one Americuana. The original order included 4 of each.
My mother kept three of each but we weren't 100% at 2 days old which was which, so we are just crossing fingers we chose/split the right ones.
Either way we love very very much all of our chicks regardless of what breed it is. each one has their own name and personality which my children and I enjoy throughout the day.
I have grown up my whole life with chickens but this is my first experience to do it on my own. I will keep you updated.
