red stars

OK,you got me started.I've investigated this and here is how you get a red star. You take a rhoade island red or new hampshire rooster and cross it with one of the following hens......silver laced wyandotte, rhoade island white,or delaware. The chicks will be sexed linked. The females will be reddish in color and the males will be yellow(white) This breeding makes them a hybrid.I don't think you will be able to breed a red star to red star.I think they are non setters. They are suppose to be great layers, laying 300 eggs per year.hope this helps.Take care.
