Yesterday there was nothing wrong with her. Today the side of her face looks raw and is swollen. Does anyone know what this is.

Yesterday there was nothing wrong with her. Today the side of her face looks raw and is swollen. Does anyone know what this is.
Chickens do sometimes get ear infections from bacteria, fungus, or mites, but this look a little more like an injury.
