Red Toe Nail polish...OUCh my toes are not cherries!

Well I guess I would be the brave soul! lol I am a redhead and VERY fair skinned so I don't do red nail polish. I do every other color though! My chickens do peck at all the other colors with intense interest! I have done Blue, Purple, Orange, Purple with glitter, Pink, Dark Blue, and several others and every single time I get pecked! I think they find it interesting!!!!

Please stop it. There are healthy male members here.

Ok, to make things fair, I think I have the perfect solution - a non-member in the form of my hubby. He's red-headed and fair as the driven snow. Green? He'd look good with green, and it'd be a good experiment.

With chickens and with marriage...

I learned a new lesson today. Don't wear nail polish, any color! I was so happy to see I was not the only one who had this experience. I had yellow on my fingernails and they jumped up to get at them! I felt swarmed by my 20 birds!
I have learned to always wear my rain boots when I go in their pen (I discovered the toes, were even more interesting when they looked like grapes or blueberries) but didn't think about my hands this morning. Needless to say, that polish came off after just a few hours.

Ha ha! I've learned a few things on the "nail polish" route too. My older girls don't give my toes a second look now because they've discovered nothing to eat there, and they free range, so they have plenty to occupy them. My younger birds though..... They have to learn too, so I usually watch for them so I can dodge the exploratory pecks! I wear flip flops so I can leave them outside and not track mess into the house
