Red,White and Blue block swap

ok I know ya'll are 2 swaps further on already but I just ran across the cutes quilt on another BYC thread
its in the hobbies section, a newish "sewing & quilting chat thread" right in the first 10 pages is the most adorable
WATERMELON QUILT made w/ log cabin blocks, red&white and green&white set so it looks like a row of water melon slices,
w/ a few black "seeds" blanket sticked on the red parts.

Looks to me like a fantastic block for a Swap....just tossing that thought out there, perfect for a late summer picnic quilt...easy block to do.

Katsdar? what do you think about it...

It would be a little tricky for a swap b/c of needing some green/white & some red/white blocks, I'm not sure how you would handle making that work??

I've got the WATERMELON QUILT on my personal To Do List now, so ya'll let me know if it looks like a good swap idea or not!

EDITING TO ADD PICTURE I just realized the post w/ pic was from 2008 so too hard to find again

Everyone should have theirs by now except our over seas ladies. They are truly wonderful blocks, sorry I didn't get the tracking numbers posted but I do have them still if you want them.

@FeyRaine that would be a nice quilt to do we would have to do half green and white and half red and white, there is a pattern for a 12 inch log cabin block on quilterscashe.com, will put that at the top of the list since we have not done a log cabin block yet. what do the rest of you ladies think?
