I first need to give Flitter & Chickie15 eggs as I have already promised eggs to them.
I am going to start them on a layer crumble feed next month as they will be 6 months old and should be ready to lay.
Redcap Farm
how are you set for an incubator??? if it was me i would hatch a few yet this year to try to get a spare rooster on the ground...
as for the eggs ill have to get some more cages built first lol... im months behind on my building... hopefully ill get started back soon now thats its not so hot...
but ide much rather buy from u than a hatchary as i know you are doing a much better job culling then they are lol...
I may put a few in the incubator this year to make sure everthing is ok. But what I really want is to send Flitter eggs as soon as I can and get eggs from her next spring. Then next spring I will take the chicks I hatch from her and put them in a second breeding pen with the female chicks I hatch from my Redcaps. I will stay away from inbreeding as much as I can in doing this I think in a few years I can increase the size (body weight) of my Redcaps.
