Redinator's First Hatch-Along w Bonus Broody: And Everything Thereafter

Sorry, I meant letting them out. In a few days they should have around 1/2 a brain cell functioning so hopefully they will be smart enough to not to cause too much stress for you or mom
That sounds like a better plan than just opening the gate and wishing them well. I could also keep Daisy on leash during that time so we don't have any incidents with my dad letting her out.

Safest option: Keep everyone penned for another week (at least) until the babies are more mobile and less likely to get stuck in random places.
I'd do this. ⬆️ It's the safest, no fuss method, I think Sweety would appreciate this the best. You don't have to worry over them either. As fast as time flies, a week will seem like 1 day.

Probably shared between them. They're lucky they're so ridiculously cute.

Since everybody is safe feed and happy I thought I'd just hang out with them and get some . . . .pictures . . . . .

This option will also give you a chance to note any differences in intrinsic instincts, behaviors and confidences between chicks who've had the benefit of a momma and those raised without one to teach them all the secret chicken survival stuff.

These are still super cute. What's their names?
This one, that one and those girls . . . . just kidding a few have names, but I'll be selling some as pol/laying hens next spring. There's 24 pullets and 2 obvious males so far.

I'm for sure keeping:
the EE (Hedwig), the Self Blue OE Game bantam (littleman)
the 4 Buff Orpingtons (Precious, Angel, Honey and Lemon . . .Lemon is sweet but nips for pets, lol)
The Cochin bantams (2 red frizzle, 2 buff) (no names yet)
4 of the 8 black sexlinks (no names yet)
the Cinnamon Queen aka red sexlink (Queenie)
3 (Silver/Blue) Gold laced Wyandottes . . not certain on which variety they are . .

There's a few other bantams I haven't figure out the breed on and they're very skittish, so it's hard to get decent pictures of them.
