Cookie: Has a bit of red coming in on the shoulders it spreads and 'she' isn't a male


Oreo: Popped a comb since yesterday, 'he' has feathered legs, so that's how I can tell him from Pot's 3 chicks


KitKat: She's gotten darker in the last few days and is sporting a very stylish crest


Reese: She's looking more and more like her mom every day


Snickers: If he isn't a male, then I'm not a redhead, lol. He's gotten very pecky in the last few days . . . it's that d@mn RIR in him, lol.


This is Tamale: the smallest of Pot's three chicks and a bit more skittish than the rest. She refused to come out of the run on her own I had to carry her out.

It took a few minutes to get them to stop running back in the run, which is why I moved them away from the older chicks so they could explore without being trampled. They were only out for about an hour, but were happy to return to the run and take a well earned nap.

Yeah at that age they still enjoy frequent naps, it seems. My 4 week olds will get up and run around and kick and scratch like crazy when I bring a treat to the run. Then they go get in a cuddle puddle and zonk out.

I'm just glad they stopped the faceplant phase. I can't tell you how many times I poked chicks to see if they were alive.

Yeah that's not cool. Bubble did this a few times and about gave me a heart attack.
