Lost this thread for awhile and im shocked to see how much I missed! The chicks are precious!!! I saw a little about testing incubators while skimming through, are you hatching more?

I think there's two other participants . . I'm not entirely sure how the group hatch alongs work . . .this'll be my first.

We'll be setting eggs around noon so they're likely to hatch on Halloween.

I saw that post but didn’t realize it was a group hatch along!
I am starting my first ever hatch today as well I didn’t realize the Halloween hatch date, now I’m so excited!!

It's only been a week and the Black Jersey Giants broke quarantine.

They were apparently able to get over a 4ft high fence. I know chickens can clear a 4ft fence, but the rest of my chickens never bothered. Of course, there wasn't anything on the other side of the fence for them to bother trying.

They're getting along fine with the other chickens, they have plenty of space to avoid each other, places to hide, and there's several feeders and waterers scattered around the yard. I'm just hoping they don't get sick, or get the other chickens sick.
