I did tease my son a bit. While I was scoping them from the bag I acted like I was counting and naming them. As my son walked by I said "There's only 437, it's supposed to be 500! I'm getting some of my money back!" He looked like he wasn't sure if I was serious or not and shook his head and walked away.

I don't it one of the reasons I got chickens, but I think they annihilated all the bugs in the yard already, lol.
