In the Brooder
I just bought a Leahy 300-E it appears to be in good shape. The front hinges were shot so I ordered some brass ones off fleabay. I will give the exterior a light sand and then coat with tung oil. I paid $150cdn for it with the original manual, the previous owners had no clue how old it is, they bought it used and ran it for 5 years till a heart attack meant the were done with critters. I also ordered 3 80mm 12v computer fans (I only plan to install 2 for internal circulation they should help with humidity if blowing over a water dish), a Digital LCD Temperature Humidity Meter Probe Sensor, and an led bulb for the pilot light (more reliable than an incandescent). I am unfamiliar with using these as in the past I have hatched eggs in aquariums with light bulbs(yes it actually works). Is there anything not in the manual I should be aware of?
