Did you have to assist because of problems with the aircell I ask because I have 4 geese eggs in the incubator that were shipped the aircells were detached upon arrival after letting them sit the aircells reattached but now they aircells are saddled and have a small amount of liquid that I can see when candled I'm worried the goslings will drown when/if they internally pip.

Thanks for the great candling pic!

If you want help with the hatching, I’d suggest starting a new thread in the incubating section, since it could get rather involved and get lost if we address it within this thread. Or feel free to ask on the Hands On thread: :) https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/hands-on-hatching-and-help.1081034/page-1185#post-21080029
Good luck with the hatch!

That's interesting. I've not seen any of my hens that weren't broody tuck an egg under them like that.
Yep. I often gather eggs throughout the day, during winter and hatching season, and replace with fake eggs. If hen is on nest and I reach under to grab real egg then set fakie at edge of nest she will tuck it right under. Non-broody hens will also screech and peck and puff up during this procedure.
The low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound is the 'tell all' for me,
they can start this noise before actually clamping down on a nest to brood.
Had lots of practice with this last summer when I had to break a broody 7 times after letting her hatch in March.

What breed was the hen who went broody 7 times?

No, they were malposioned and begining to shrink wrap and getting weak.
As WV suggested, posting in hatching will get you some great help!
Best of luck to you! :fl:love
