refrigerated hatching eggs?

Refrigeration doesn't seem to harm eggs- in my experience I think the refrigerated eggs can be held longer before being incubated.

The biggest harm to them is major temperature change. Take refrigerated eggs out and leave warm to room temp slowly, I usually take them out 8 to 12 hours ahead of placing in incubator.

have hatched alot of chicks from refrigerated eggs...no problems I do bring them to room temp before putting them in the incubator....

7 refrigerated eggs under my broody, 1 tossed last week because it wasn't ever fertile. Due to hatch any time now but they all look good!

I'm not sure any will hatch, but good luck

I know this is an old thread, but I never thought it would be possible to hatch an egg that had been in the refrigerator, so I tried it with one. It hatched! I researched more information about it and found the study below to be pretty interesting. I pulled some eggs from the refrigerator and wrote on the tops "R" so I know which ones were from the fridge. I am interested to see how many females I end up with compared to males. They are starting to pip this evening, so I'm hoping the study is true and I end up with lots of females.
