refrigerated hatching eggs?

    i am going to try a few experiments with incubating refrigerated eggs they are silkie eggs what do you think anyone have any luck doing this [​IMG]

    There has been a few people here that have had real good success with eggs refrigerated

    There are plenty of people that have hatched Trader Joe's fertilized eggs, and those are refrigerated for several days by the time the consumer gets them. I think that they're getting 2-4 to hatch per dozen, which isn't so bad when you consider the handling.

    Nearly all of my hatching eggs are first refrigerated. I typically get 90+% of the chicken eggs to hatch.

    Yea I think the hatch rate will go way down..

    What temp are you planning on holding them at in the fridge? Standard fridge temp is 40* or a little below. I'd guess that the lower the temp, the lower the hatch rate.

    trying this tomorrow for the first time, i will be setting 6 refrigerated eggs and 3 non refrigerated ones from the same flock.
