MY Polish chicken lost her live 3 weeks ago to an attack of a Hawk. So I was so destraught that I figured, he, I haven't used my bator this year yet, let's try to hatch the 4 eggs I had in the Fridge from her. Nothing to lose right?!?!? I let them come on room temperture for about 6 hours and put them in with some other eggs that my chickens laid that day. 1 BR, 1RIR, 2 white leghorn a little black Bantam (lays blue eggs)and 4 sexlinks. Some weren't fertilized and others quit along the way. So ended up with 2 leghorn eggs that where moving around like crazy last night, but now haven't done anything this morning, 2 brown eggs that could be from the RIR, BR or sexlinks and 2 blue ones from the little Bantam Then the 4 Polish and 15 Buff Orpingtons that I put in a day later, that I bought to add some color to my flock. They also had been refrigartored (bought 2 dozen, only 15 made it, but only paid $2.50 a dozen , so who can complain!)
So here we are 3 weeks later and 2 hatched and the other 5 are pipping!!

My Rooster is a pretty Bantam boy (Hendrik) and maybe my little light Brahma got on one of the girls when Hendrik wasn't looking

Can't wait to see how the're all coming out
