I took 12 eggs out of automatic turner yesterday; following instructions that say humidity should be increased and to use sponges to do help raise it. at 5 p.m. yesterday I put in two small sponge strips soaked with water (it's really dry in Texas!) and this morning I read sponge package and it's Cello brand with anti-bacterial something infused in the sponge!!! Please tell me I didn't hurt these peeps!! Then, I bumped the silly thing and eggs went rocking; ugh. So, I'm looking for some words of wisdom; I took out the sponges immediately, and I'm hoping that the movement didn't hurt them either. Please help.
This is about the fourth time I've done this with varying success - really thought I had all controls in place and now this!!!

Thank you.

I would think the sponges did no damage.

A bit of rocking and rolling is very normal at hatch time, so I would think you are still good to go.

Good luck.

Use paper towels wadded up to provide the surface area, or follow the instructions on the Incubation Cheater in my signature. It should be fine-- don't worry.
