Very happy to see this mate today as i was wondering why my peahen still didnt lay and why they still didnt mate.
as known that in europe there are some breeders who already having now peacicks.

Peahen lay for the first time at the age of two.
When a peahen starts to lay so late in the season it is because they are one year old! but reach a certain weight and are then mature.
Weight has a big importance.
Often these young females don't go broody !

I cant Tell the age of the mated peahen but i would like to say she looks more older them my young peahen which is still not a year old. i had that problem in morocco that people who sellsthe üeacock at the markt didnt now how old are the animals because i bought them from a markt. so im lost with the age of my peacocks.

i had 2 peahen and 2 peacocks

i have young peacock and old one as you can see in the video thats was the old one

I had also two peahens one is very yound and the other is old and the seller said she already been laying egg but he cant tell the age. last week i lost her because she was ill and she died even i give toke a late care.

i bought another peahen from the markt and the seller cant also tell the AGE but i can see she is old because she looks very deffirence then the young peahen which im sure she is not one year old.
