ok i had just a lil bit of water in my incubator the humidity ready stayed at like 90% all the time.. well i took all the water out of it and it still showing 65-70%.. what do i do O_O

What incubator do you have? Is it homemade or a commercial make and model? How does it control humidity? Does it have reservoirs you fill? Do you add water to existing reservoirs in the incubator, add containers of water with or without sponges or paper towels, or does it regulate humidity electronically from an outside reservoir? A little bit on information might really help us give a useful answer.

Have you calibrated your hygrometer so you have confidence in your instrument?

How long was it like this? Days, hours, minutes? Did you perhaps have a large area in there wet and it just needed to dry out?

It’s hard to even guess without more information.

its just one of those Styrofoam incubators you get from Atwood's.. is got a reservoir in the bottom. the humidity was like that for days.. but now after i dumped the water out of it it still ran high last night but today is at 50%.. and this is having no water in it at all.

It really depends on the ambient humidity. If the room is in a cooler basement, you may not need any water in the reservoirs. If you have it in a hot kitchen in Arizone, it may be hard to keep the humidity up with all the reservoirs filled.

Try to calibrate your hygrometer, and then do whatever it takes to keep the humidity where you like it. I like 50% until lockdown, others like a little less.
