i gave to my friend whom has lots of space and is zoned for roosters. she says (of the five) that at first they were afraid and stayed far away from the flock. but now all the hens follow them around like rock star/movie star/major love interests. I am told they are happy, and the roosters are back to being wonderful protectors and pooped out at the end of the day.
