Are the chickens roaming around in that paradise? How to you protect the plants?
I tried to cohabitate garden and chickens and lost. Now they play clean (tear) up crew.

Thanks! The chickens that lives in the 6.5x6.5 coop are only 6 months old so when I was building that 2nd coop they were not even hatched, I hatched them late July/August. Right now it’s winter so they only had few supervised free range (no plants) if you noticed most of my vegetables plants are raised- will have some barrier around in late spring during growing season. I got a big clear roofed run attached to the main coop(partially seen on background) the occupants there also have supervised free range due to hawks and owls.

Yes, this^^^ ....or isolation/hospital coop.

It's as predator proof as it can be right now. We still have to run wire around the bottom out on the ground, but if anything tries digging under it until we do, they won't get far before they hit rock. If I use it for brooding, I was thinking about getting a couple bantys to hatch eggs if none of my hens go broody. But I have time to work all that out because my rooster still has a few months (I'm guessing) until he's fertilizing anything.
