In the time I've been on BYC I've noticed that any thread debating religion or politics in any form get locked and rather quickly. The exception to this being the prayer request threads which are allowed to stay unless they get ugly somewhere along the line. So why bother to start them in the first place??
I'm gonna go hug my chickens now.
