Well, we are pretty certain Charles is a girl so we adopted a friend for her. Meet Lily!
Lily is 1.5 years old and both of her duck friends in her old home were hit by cars so she ended up alone. Her owner didn't want any more ducks so when I posted on Facebook looking for a female duck she reached out. We drove an hour or so to get Lily and she and Duckens had a few days of not being so sure of each other but now they are best buddies. Duckens no longer screams her head off for us and she is happily learning how to be a duck. That said she does still enjoy following us around she just brings Lily (and sometimes the chickens) with her. Here's a video of one of our flock walks. Missing one hen who was in the nest box.
