I'm one of those that have some Blue Boy's offspring too! He can be proud of some of the offspring he had scattered around the states.

Speaking of Sandhill, I hatched out some chicks this summer from a person in Maine that got their BBS Orp stock originally from them too and these are very typey kids growing out.

Sandy, I haven't looked at their site in years but I think they used to say some would be very large and others just hatchery size. Can't remember now though. I think in the beginning they had birds from very good lines. I got domiques and 10 blue Orp chicks which of course was a mix of BBS colors. Kept five out of 10. I think I had 6 cockerels. I like blue boy the best so kept him. I really didn't know how to judge what I was keeping at the time but I had let them get up to about 5 month old before I made the decision so I didn't do to bad.
