Announcement Remembering Sumi

The check up went well yesterday. That is the most important thing. The downside was waiting more than an hour for my lift to Dublin to pick me up. Seeing the doctor for about 5 minutes. Then I heard from the driver that I have more than an hour to wait, as he was all over Dublin for another patient. So, I hopped into a taxi and asked the driver to take me to the nearest shopping centre. I did a bit of shopping, mostly dinner and snacks, but it helped kill time.

The drive home took about 4 hours, including a tour of the city. I got a little bored and frustrated with the trip and asked the driver to stop for us for a break. Everyone of us jumped out! LOL That was fun. I got home, unwinding and sleeping early. It turned into a 12-hour day all in all.

Right now... I'm going to go back on the chemo treatment and off the steroids. I'm honestly not keen on dropping the steroids, as last time we tried, the results were spectacular... But I'll feel better being off it. I'm going to slow down with them first this time! I'll be going for a scan in about 2 months and that is what is planned for me with Dublin for the moment.

I hate to say this, but our good friend Sumi has gone MIA this week. The last I (and others) had talked with her was around last Monday, 2/24. She seemed like she was doing really well and was even going to dive into helping more with the upcoming Easter Hatch-A-Long. We're trying desperately to get in touch with anyone who might know what's going on with her.

I'm hoping I can get in touch with her son. He and I had really great report when I met him a few weeks ago, and I feel like he's inclined to know more about her situation than most. I'm kicking myself that I didn't get his direct contact info! I know he's on one of the social media sites a lot talking about online games, etc. (I thin Snapchat?). UGH... SOOO mad at myself for not just getting his info directly!!!

If anyone has any info, please let us know!

I hope that she decided to take a trip to enjoy the seaside or some such, and there's no reception there.

I think Sumi is just feeling a bit overwhelmed and needed to take a break from everyone and everything for a time. She loves us, we love her, but I remember Rachel needing a break from putting on a cheerful face all the time, too. And I just came back myself after “disappearing” for months. I have total faith in her.
