Reptile people?

have a toad that I caught for my daughter its name is jummpy and she just loves it, she is 3, she helps feed him mealworms everynight and on hot nights we put his tank out side under the light so he can catch bugs, I think he is a happy toad

currently, i have a tortoise named Charlie, a patternless albino leopard gecko named Blinky, and an unnamed young gopher snake.

I've had several corn snakes, ball pythons, california king snakes, crested geckos, red tail boas, bearded dragons, mali uromastyx, and argentine b/w tegus. my sister and her husband bred corn snakes for several years. i was planning on breeding king snakes, but never got around to it, and we've since cut back on the reptiles.

Beautiful, Shadera!

Brookies-Sure sounds happy to me!

halfwaynowhere-You certainly have had quite a variety of reptiles!

Beautiful babies everyone. I think my husband was tempted by some of the snakes at the reptile show recently but cant handle the idea of their diet. What age do you leopard gecko owners switch them to sand and feel safe about it? Mine is right around 3 months old and is on a reptile carpet and I hate it with a passion but don't want "her" to get impacted. I would add a picture but currently my camera is in on vacation with my extended family....

Darn you guys with all your beautiful reptiles and whatnot!

I used to love snakes and want one. I still find them interesting... I would like to try geckos one day.

anna- to put it simply I dont. I raise my geckos on Copy Paper and when they get older if I want a more natural tank I'll do the repti carpet and 1/2 slate tile ( on the hot side) . I change the paper once or twice a week depending on the inhabitants ( right now I have 6 in one tank and i am power feeding so i change 2x). it's clean, its easy to spot poop issues ( color, blood or too much water).

Patternless Creamsicle Cornsnake - Hephestus.

And yes....he is THAT orange, I didn't edit the picture other than to crop it. We've thought about breeding him but I could only justify it if we bought another creamsicile...AND if there was a general interest in people wanting a snake like this (most people, even those who like reptiles, seem to be a little unsure about him because of how bright and "warning" his color is).

Also have a beautiful albino black rat snake.

From a small hobby breeder who specializes in creamsicles. If you're interested in one, I can pass along some info! Most don't come out this way..she actually bred this snake to be striped, but he turned out completely patternless and perfect. I think she has added "Patternless" or "fade" (where they show very light striping) to her breeding list since this guy. Since this is a very selectively bred snake, they can be a little pricey...but I don't think $80 - $120 is unreasonable for him.

We've really considered seeing what would turn out if we bred him...I just wouldn't want to be overrun by a bunch of snakes with a color that people didn't want! Personally, I think he's just gorgeous and exotic!
