In terms of a "redesign," unless ReptiPro is a fridge manufacturer it's not going to happen. He might be talking about a new fridge model coming out that they're going to use, but otherwise all he can do is add aftermarket solutions like his egg turner. So he might sell the unit with foam pieces that fit on the shelves to keep chicks from falling between the shelf and the door, or he might sell it with a fan that sits on the floor of the unit and has a plug coming out a drilled hole in the side, but he's not going to be able to radically change the unit itself.

The fan in the back is for the Peltier heating/cooling unit and I believe does circulate air when it is on. There's no fresh air ventilation; I think people open and close the door a few times a day.
Big Apple Herp and Kemps Reptile sell the unit too, so they may be able to give you a schematic if they dismantled one.
