Just chucked 13 of my incubating white showgirl eggs....no development at all...thought the eggs were damaged in the freeze...broke open a freshly layed egg today & it WASN'T FERTILE!!!!

My roo has been fired & there's a new guy in the SG pen!!

Going into lockdown tomorrow with my reptipro..!! I'm so excited! but I try not to excite myself too much.. don't want to get disappointed. Doing a staggered hatch with 6 silkie eggs that were put in 5 days later. Wish me luck!

on your hatch Jonny!!! Good luck....try not to worry!!

Leave the newly hatched chicks in until you're sure the hatch is done & then grab them as fast as you can! Don't open the door if you have pips on the other eggs. Then get your humidity level down for the second group. Let us know how it went!!

I will! I have a calm and steady plan of action.. let them be! And of course, try to turn the second round as carefully as I can.. taking a good look at the other eggs making sure there are no cracks or pips.
