Reputable Ameraucana Breeders?

pips&peeps :

John Blehm has bantams in wheaten and buff. You will have to order chicks from him in the spring. He rarely sells eggs; in the last six years he has only done it once.

His website is chickhatchery.com

I want 2 chickens.... he won't ship that small amount.

I also don't want to wait for Spring.

Does anyone know if Ideal Poultry will do specific colors? Their site just had to select the quantity but not the color.

Ideal has easter eggers, not the true Ameraucanas. So no, that would not be the route to go. If you order from John, you could always sell the excess chicks, or post a thread on here looking for someone to split an order with you. Good luck!

MPC has hatching eggs that they say are pure-bred Ameruncas, although they don't give the colors. Given that they also sell EE's, I'm guessing that they are telling the truth about them being pure-bred.

I have LF Ameraucanas I got from Jean, (pips&peeps), Melissa (pasofinofarm) and Lisa (DipsyDoodleDoo).

All of them purebred, all of them beautiful birds.

ETA: All three are WONDERFUL people to deal with, they make you feel like family.

Hampton, John will ship started birds as well I believe. You might want to see if he has 2 in the color you're seeking. Fall shipments are pretty common, as breeders are cleaning out for winter.

No he sold all of his started birds at the michigan swap meet u will have to wait till spring. You can get birds from other breeders.
Go to the Ameraucana Breeders club site and look under the breeders directory but beware some dont have very good stock.
Get them from people like Mike Gilbert,John Blehm,or Jerry De Smidt. Hope this helps.
P.S. I dont have any buffs for sale at the moment.
