Rescue chick looking for info 🐤💛

You know I looked up a picture of what the chick looks like and it looks nothing like my baby! The eyes are dark where mine are yellow. It looks like the head has lines coming off the eyes where this has nothing but feathers on the head and the breast color is way off too.
The chicks in that picture just have their baby down. Your chick has grown out it's first set of feather but not it's adult feathers yet.

Or are you saying you had the chicken when it was just a couple days old and he didn't resemble them at that time?

That's because it's not a day old anymore. It's 6-7 weeks old.

Chicks under go a transformation when they feather out, & grow.

Day old.

No I just got him a week ago we're thinking he's 4 to 5 weeks old maybe?

I just didn't think that little baby chick resembled this guy at all. The eye color everything about it is so different. Is that normal in chickens to change so drastically?

I understand you're new here, & can see how you mixed up, Chick Down, with Juvenile plumage. I definitely would if it were the only chick I've seen.
Thank you for your understanding. I have seen other chicks before but haven't never really had any interest until I saved this one. I do believe there's a lot more features that are not similar besides the feathers. In fact everything about it is completely different.

To me the baby chick pictures here compared to the adult pictures are still very similar compared to how my chicken looks. Yours still kept the same similar blondish coloring and dark eyes.
It's genetics.
The eyes are slowly changing to orange, they're green right now.

Does this help any with the differences?

I'm just not getting the similarities you are seeing.
