So definitely a rooster then? I'm not sure how old it is but old enough to be fully feathered with saddle feathers. Definitely had an attitude, very difficult to catch. But, once I got him, he was very sweet and cuddly. Think I should expect crowing tomorrow morning?

I know of hen feathered breeds, but have never heard of any rooster feathered ones! The saddles definitely mean he is a roo.

Aww man. Gonna be tough to find a home for him. Hopefully he's quiet and maybe I'll be able to keep him.

so sad... That's probably why he was running around lost- someone likely realized he's a rooster and kicked him out of the coop.

Apparently there are Araucana bantams, but they still have muffs (just did a google search is all)

He definitely has no fluffy cheeks or beards lol

Could he possibly be a mixed breed of... idk... black australorp bantam and bantam araucana?

So I'm going to conclude about breed and sex that he is a bantam araucana rooster
