Hi! I'm Meghan from Herd & Flock Animal Sanctuary in Vacaville, CA. My wife, Katie, and I founded our rescue in 2019, and we currently care for 40 chickens, 50 pigeons and 60ish other animal friends like cows, goats, rabbits, cats and dogs. We are a non-profit private shelter, and are open for volunteers and tours by appointment. If you're in the area, please reach out. I wanted to join BYC bc there is so much useful info from enrichment, shelter ideas and medication dosages.

Welcome to the flock. Good work you're doing. I adopted three of my 5 hens from a rescue. The other two are rehomes. So many out there need help. I'll have to schedule a tour one of these days.
