Rescue Duck deformed leg

Ivan is chasing me... on one leg... I was screaming. He is not phased and stops to scratch. Close-up of leg. His love, and reason for chasing me.
Thank you so much! That makes me happy & gives me hope! Waddles' leg is starting to corkscrew :(. Friday is vet day. I hope they have some suggestions!

Here's some pictures I was able to get, sorry about quality, the little guy just wouldn't hold still. He wanted his friends! I don't know of anything else I can do for him other than vitamins...idk. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi! sorry know this thread is old but had a duckling hatch last night with two deformed legs. Have taped his toes to cardboard shoes as his toes are curled but his first leg joint is stiff and does not extend so he is unable to stand. Is there anything I can do? I've read about niacin supplements but had a look and can't find where to find poultry niacin anywhere. She is hobbling around and cheering loudly (although now that her feet are taped she is sleeping with her legs up on her back!

This is what your looking for http://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-niacinamide-vitamin-b-3-250-mg-100-tablets also you can use Brewers yeast[not baking] and Nutritional yeast sprinkled over feed. 1 tab to 1 cup of feed. Or look for a good quality B complex capsule or tablet getting all the B's will help too, and or a Poultry vitamin which should contain B3, Poultry Nutri Drench is a good one. Hope the little one makes a complete recovery.

Thank you so much for replying. I've had another look today and she still can't straighten her legs, they're kind of locked in the curled position. I've massaged them gently and she doesn't cheep, they give ever so slightly but do not straighten out but I will try that daily too (if it doesn't work what I need is someone who will take in a disabled duck lol)

What does the niacin actually do?

Awww! I have recently become home to two ducks with injured legs. My husband reacted much the same way. "Grumble grumble... oh its injured! Well let's build a duck enclosure and get em all healed up." Lol.
