Well, ok, add a link here so we can find it.
How do you even know how many threads you've started?
You open your profile-page, click on the »Postings« link and scroll down to the very end of the page where there is a link »Find all threads by aart«. Click on that link and scroll down to the end of that page and there will be:

Cool. Looking forward to your adorable five-headed duck abomination.
Adorable they are, indeed!

How could anyone not want those babies no matter how messy they are ?
What would you have done after your ducklings had destroyed four heatlamps?

Here you go, the new thread starts here:

My ducklings would not have a heat lamp. Heat pad for 4 weeks in the bathtub and then booted outside.

Ah, yes, I see....something I've just never paid any attention to.

You remember my Momma Heat Cave? - I still had a ceramic heat lamp at hand, just in case. Those duckies have never been outside and were always tucked away in a cozy warm chicken house (except when they broke the bulb), so their feathers are still spotty. They need the heat, at least at night and it is freezing out here, not bathtub warm as it is in Texas… ;)

I like the Momma Heat Cave idea. Also, it will be different brooding out here compared to the old place. The bathroom is 3 times as big and I don’t think keeping the lights on will help here. Maybe after the first of the year I will have time, money, and energy to build another duck house. That has to be done before we hatch/ brood.
