My ducklings would not have a heat lamp. You remember my Momma Heat Cave? - I still had a ceramic heat lamp at hand, just in case. Those duckies have never been outside and were always tucked away in a cozy warm chicken house (except when they broke the bulb), so their feathers are still spotty. They need the heat, at least at night and it is freezing out here, not bathtub warm as it is in Texas…My ducklings would not have a heat lamp. Heat pad for 4 weeks in the bathtub and then booted outside.
