@Phillyndilly Poor Bruce, I’m glad you’ve given waffles and pancake a good home but what bad luck for Bruce!
I feel for those poor pekins too, I have two pekins and mine are completly defenseless. They could not survive for long out on a pond by themselves.
Is Bruce and Philip friendly with each other? Not tearing at each other? If so ganders can be perfectly happy with each other and it might be the best option for the foreseeable future.
Ya he’s totally fine with Philip. But Philip is bonded to his two pekins. It’s actually funny because he chases pancake and waffles and bites at them if they get too close to his ducks, but he hasn’t done that with Bruce. Bruce also looks just like Luce though, who Philip is afraid of so maybe that’s why? Luce attacked him during mating season and we had to separate them because he was making Philip stay by himself. They still sleep separately because of the time he attacked him in the coop. But Philips two girls like to stay by the other ducks sometimes which is Luces group. Therefore Philip will be by the girls and Luce won’t let Bruce come too close..@Iain Utah started out with 2 ganders.
Maybe they’ll bond but Philip isn’t looking for a bond I don’t think?
Philip also was fine with our disabled goose Boatie who was male. He couldn’t walk so people used to pet him and Philip used to actually go after unfamiliar people who did that. So I literally have no clue how his mind works at all..
Belle my turkey seems like she likes Bruce I think he kind of likes her too I wonder if they can be friends? Has anyone’s goose bonded to a different species ( other than ducks)?
